MARKING HIM (#2 MARKED SERIES)

The day Maya Owens walked into his tattoo shop, everything Talan knew changed.

After officially starting a relationship, he is now having trouble managing Maya—a woman who consumes every part of his being and owns his heart. His need to control her and everything around her drives Maya insane, but he has good reason. After all, Janice is still lurking around and she has a vendetta against his Bitty.
In no time Talan wants more, and it’s faster than Maya can handle; things begin to get complicated.

Months of frustration and want take them for a ride neither wanted, but now yearn for. Will they make it through the turbulence? And if so, at what cost?

SCARS (2.5 MARKED SERIES)

Abandoned.

Thrown away.

Invisible.

Every single one of those could be used to describe me. They can tell you my story—my sad past—without a single syllable passing through my lips.

I hate them—those who lied to me. They claimed to love me, but in reality they used me when convenient. My parents. Sister. And now Talan. Loving them has left me empty. Sad.

Alone.

Not anymore. Screw them. My love has turned to anger…hate. Now, what consumes me is the urge to destroy, to force them to see what they wrecked with their carelessness. My name will never be forgotten. Not after I have my revenge.

His tears will be my ultimate retribution.

I have followed the Marked series since the beginning and am a huge fan!

In Scars we see Janice during her time with dealing with the denial of Talan & Maya and her actions because of his refusal.

Janice is her own enemy. She destroys herself, her home and her emotions. She cannot come to grips that Talan is not hers. During this time she has lapses of what’s going on and how things came to be. She is simply all over the place.

Her past has shaped her.
Her future is yet to be shaped.

Tragedy is her past plagues her future and her family as caused major issues for her instead of being a help.

Janice only sees her future with Talan. That’s it. Nothing else is even imaginable.
She is manic. She is fragile. She is invalid. She is pained. She is broken. She is Scarred.
Elena did a wonderful job of portraying this shattered character and her roller coaster of a ride that she is on.

Elena M. Reyes was born and raised in Miami Florida. She is the epitome of a Floridian and if she could live in her beloved flip-flops, she would.
As a small child, she was always intrigued with all forms of art–whether it was dancing to island rhythms, or painting with any medium she could get her hands on. Her first taste of writing came to her during her fifth grade year when her class was prompted to participate in the D. A. R. E. Program and write an essay on what they’d learned.
Her passion for reading over the years has amassed her with hours of pleasure. It wasn’t until she stumbled upon fanfiction that her thirst to write overtook her world. She now resides in Central Florida with her husband and son, spending all her down time letting her creativity flow and letting her characters grow.
