T.M. left us with one jaw dropping cliff-hanger in Lawless. I stared at my Kindle and looked around asking myself “WTF just happened? Did I read this right?” I read it right. I am not easily surprised but this one caught me off guard.

With that I cannot say too much because everything about this story ties together splendidly that with what I say below with spoil this raw-suspenseful-hold onto your kindle-all the feels- read.

Bear will do anything and everything to protect Thia and he certainly does, now if he could only get her to listen and trust him. Two things that she has not been able to do in her life. Bear has a plan on getting answers he wants and needs and definitely has plans to take back what is his and have Thia by his side. These two belong together with every fiber of their beings.

“There has never ever been any like you. You’re it for me, Ti. Don’t ever doubt that.”

As part of Bear’s plan he sends a fiery little ball of energy that goes by the name Rage to keep on eye on Thia. Rage was definitely an interesting character to read and was easy to visualize. (T.M. if you are reading this a novella would be fun!) We are also introduced to a furry friend who has quite an interesting name, Pancakes.

Thia is made to mature and grow wiser than her age. She is thrown into challenge after challenge and comes out victorious. She is introduced to people that are for her.

Bear is made to finally take matters into his hands to end the reign of Chop and take his life back by the balls and comes out victorious. He learns he has more people on his side than he thought and a surprising betrayal.

They are each other’s heroes.

“Love isn’t about wanting a hero, it’s about wanting to be one for the other person.”

They are each other’s futures.

“There has never been anyone like you ,” Bear said softly. “You’re it for me, Ti. Don’t ever doubt that.”

They are each other’s homes.

“Home is where you feel the most like yourself. Home is the thing that makes you happiest during this very short life.

The person who makes you happiest.

“I’d never known what a real home was, and now that I’d found it, I was never letting it go.”

There is twist after twist after twist that soon you are like a Twizzler waiting to be unraveled. So much happens from line to line in this story that you get so involved with one scene then you are served another layer. There is truly no shortage of suspense, heart, soul, laws, and raw-grit-sex and WTF moments. Bear and Thia’s ends wonderfully. You just have to read this one and take my word for it.

We are also left with a little surprise at the end that will have you stunned for a good 20 minutes, then you will squeal with glee and then you pray to the writer God’s that we will see more! T.M. we better see more. I repeat WE BETTER SEE MORE.
