I’ve come to learn there is no escaping your past.

It doesn’t matter what you do, it will follow like a phantom–haunting you–reminding you.

**Due to the dark and explicit nature of this book, it is recommended for mature audiences only as some scenes may be particularly disturbing.**

Hush is the final book in The Black Lotus series.

Hush was jam packed with the suspense that we have come to know with Ek’s books.
At any moment a curve ball is thrown their way and we are mere spectacles to this game. You think that you have it figured out then it goes completely left.

Elizabeth is trying figure out who she really is. All her life she has had to be someone that she truly is not. It is quite the journey for her. How does one find themselves when their whole adult life has been one lie after another? Is this her favorite tea? Is her favorite perfume? Is this her favorite top? The list is endless.

One aspect that she knows is not a lie is her and Declan’s true love. They have been through so much that is has strengthened their love and affection for each other. It took a lot for Delcan to overcome what happened to him by Elizabeth’s alter ego. But he simply knows that she is it for him and finds ways to let that immense anger go. One way is sex. This man screams alpha! He wants control, he wants her moans, he wants her pleasure and he wants her to submit. Check please!

There is one HUGE secret and Declan and Elizabeth make it their mission to find the truth.

So much has happened in this series that it is hard to pinpoint every aspect. It is so head spinning but in a good way.

The ending to this was unconventional and for me, dropped my rating of the book. For some, I am sure, it was great. It was just a shocker and I am still baffled by it. With this said, I still enjoyed the book and hope that you will too!
