Five years ago, we’d been together and on fire, but the flames burned us both. Now she’s back in my life and is all my wildest fantasies in the flesh.

I want her. The desire is too powerful to argue against, but I’m not interested in what we had. This is an arrangement about pleasure and finding out who we are behind closed doors. There won’t be talk of love or any sweet nothings whispered by either of us.

This time, I’ll control the heat between us and make sure neither of our hearts get too close to the flames.

It is no surprise that I Love the Blindfold series and when I saw that there would be a book five in the series, I jumped on the chance to receive an arc to review.

So, here I am telling you that I LIVED for this book.

We all enjoy a second chance love story. Seeing two souls come together and rekindle what was to be. Learning what went wrong. Learning who they are now. Learning where things could go.

This is where we are introduced Kyle and Ruby.

Both were in law school together and had a undeniable chemistry from day one. (I might start hanging around libraries looking for Mr. Hot.) Then the day comes that Kyle is to leave for NYC and Ruby stays behind to finish her last year. A mass confusion happens (how else would we get angst?) and the hatred game begins.

Each a thrust back into each other’s life by sitting across from each other in a conference handling a high profile divorce case.

And. Then. It. Is. ON.

Kyle is a woman’s alpha dream. His presence, his stance, his words, his being is so strong and all consuming that you just want him to leap out of the book and lay down the law to you (again, pun intended). Ruby is the sassy, strong, friendly woman that you want to hang with and watch her bake her macarons and be her taste tester.

These two explode (pun intended) and as both have grown and matured so have their bedroom tastes. Agreements are made. Lists are made. The scenes that we get from the lists are insanely caliente! I caught myself fanning my face because, hot damn! They found creative ways to bring their relationship to new heights with the list that they made. Baking supplies might be involved (totally involved). Kyle has all the makings of being a Dom and this makes Ruby melt like butter and she wants nothing more than to please him. (We get to see a couple that we have met before.)

There was not one lull in this story. It is full of page turning scenes that have you all in. You are given visuals as if you are right there with them watching just on the outskirt of their bubble. The creativity that is put in the scenes are ones that you want to joint down and try for yourself.

There is also a sweet side to this story and it is not just from Ruby’s love of making macarons.

This is honestly her best book yet!

Nikki Sloane landed in graphic design after her careers as a waitress, a screenwriter, and a ballroom dance instructor fell through. For eight years she worked for a design firm in that extremely tall, black, and tiered building in Chicago that went through an unfortunate name change during her time there. Now she lives in Kentucky and manages a team of graphic artists. She is a member of the Romance Writers of America, is married with two sons, writes dirty books, and couldn’t be any happier.
